The Magic Portal will not let you go adventuring if your inventory is full or if you are not the correct level for the Magic Portal you are trying to use.
To correct your inventory issue, visit your Stash or liquidate some items to make room for the loot you will obtain.
To correct a level miss-match issue, go to a region that is appropriate for your level and use the Magic Portal there.
